One of the most bewildering paradoxes revealed in our time is that on the fast globalizing planet, humankind ignores the accelerating self-extinction process within the realm of global warming and climate change. Every morning 2,5 billion people around the world, savor the moment with the sweet flavor of real coffee and letting the coffee embrace themselves independent of their age, wealth or location that they try to build a life at. In that first sip, if not with the first smell, they all embrace the time, and live the same moment of "being" for a second with all the memories, unfinished arguments, quarrels, fears, hopes, sorrows and happiness's, as if their lives were eternal. One is hardly aware of how immediate and how great of the problem of her dream-like existence is. Unfortunately, the global warming and climate change affects the sustainability of coffee production negatively and so the 2,5 billion's daily routine. A world without coffee... People rather not to know more about it, neither would like to hear about the sustainability of humankind. Fundamentally, we strive to leave a mark behind at least to be remembered by the future generations. This goal would only have a meaning if we can find a way to create a truly sustainable life on this planet. As individuals; for each and every one of us, it is time to stand up and take some responsibility. We urgently need to face the reality of global warming; it is time to wake up and smell the coffee!
